State Coordinator (Social Welfare & Development)
Ms. Uma Sankari earned her bachelor’s in mathematics from the reputed Justice Basheer Ahmed Sayeed College for Women (Autonomous), Chennai, Tamil Nadu. She possesses more than 15 years of experience in office administration, personnel management, and human resource engagement in product and service companies respectively. She has commenced her career as a receptionist and grown up on the professional ladder by serving as front office executive, office admin, coordinator, team leader, etc. over the years through her diligent efforts. She is an avid learner and conscientious listener, which has been her qualities to sustain in the professional domain for a long stint. Her compassionate approach and impeccable deeds are the main reasons for her career growth and social activities hitherto. Moreover, her societal bent of mind towards serving poor and needy has been since her childhood due to her emergence from an underprivileged background. Moreover, this has been the triggering factor in her life for having a strong inclination towards rendering social services for the needy and downtrodden. This is the prime cause for her to engage in numerous pro-bono services for women and weaker sections in the society. Her passionate voluntary services have been quite laudable and well recognized by the needy communities, which has been proved over years through engaging herself as a volunteer in many social events. She has conducted numerous social welfare activities in which enormous events have been completed during pandemic like providing indigenous giveaways like: bedsheets, pillows, umbrella, blankets, floor mats, shawls, provisions, stationeries, monetary support to socially oppressed and stranded communities who are at the streets and on roadside, which includes, street dwellers, old age beggars, destitute women, poor children, orphans, slum dwellers, etc. She is the recipient of the prestigious Senior Professional Awardee on 15th March 2025 in the Global Conclave on Sustainable Development and 38th Integrated National Awards (GCSD-INA) organized and hosted by National Foundation for Entrepreneurship Development (NFED) at Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. Currently, she is serving as the honorary State Coordinator (Social Welfare & Development) in the NFED Trust, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.
